You have all the right products for your skin but aren’t getting best
results. Is that how you feel ? We understand where it comes from….,
from not using products the right way, in the right order.
What Is Layering ?
A general rule to put all your favourite skincare products to work well for you, is to start with the most lightweight formulas. You allow skin to absorb them and then move on to heavier ones. That’s called layering.
Layering allows skin to soak in all the nutrients of multiple products and keep it well-nourished and healthy. Do remember to allow time between layers in order for the skin to absorb nutrients. If you rush products, you may end up making your skin look oily, shiny and patchy.
The thumb rule to a good skin however, is clean skin to begin with, and that is achieved only by deep cleansing. Deep cleansing removes all dirt, stale makeup, stale oils (sebum) and any other pollutant that may be sticking to skin.
Deep Cleanser – Step 1
Layer Your Cleansing.
So, start with oil cleansing, for that is a healthy way to cleanse. Oil cleansers do not contain harsh chemicals, soaps and parabens. They are gentle on your skin too. Follow it up with foam cleansing. Why ? Because foam cleansers help remove traces of oil left behind. Our foam cleansers contain 2% sulphate free soap that will leave your skin soft, without stripping it of the natural oils.
Choose from our range of cleansers, ones that suit your skin type.
Exfoliate : Exfoliation is a part of deep cleansing. We have a specially formulated facial scrub grains called Glow that will impart brightness and clarity to skin.
Toner – Step 2
Not all skin types need to use toners. Dry skin types can skip this step. Oily skin however will benefit greatly because toners help shrink pores and balance skin’s pH level. Pores that have been shrunk reflect light better and give skin luminosity.
Face Mist – Step 3
Face mists are the most under rated beauty tools but once you start using them regularly your skin will thank you for all the hydration. Spritz face with face mist after the exfoliation step. This will help better absorption of moisturisers. If possible, mist your face after every step and you will see better results.
Eye Cream – Step 4
Layer your Moisturising With Step 4 And 5. Attend to the eye area before you moisturise the rest of your face. Dab a little cream around the eye area with your ring fingers and massage gently. Eye area needs extra care as the skin here is very delicate and sensitive. Use suitable eye cream for the day and night respectively.
Under-eye cream
Non-greasy Moisturiser
Moisturiser – Step 5
Your moisturiser will give your skin its final glow, so never skip moisturising. You have now come to the penultimate step of the layering technique for healthy skin. The right moisturisers will hydrate, replenish and calm the skin. It will also repair dry or flaky skin.
Well, now your face is all cleansed and moisturised. You are not done yet. One more step and this is very important for it protects your skin from sun damage and exposure to UV rays of the sun as well as electronic gadgets. Sunscreen. Apply a liberal amount of it all over your face and neck twenty minutes before you step out. Reapply every 3-4 hours. Choose a sunscreen that suits your skin type.
Night time skin care involves layering too with the exception of the sunscreen of course ! While you sleep, your skin repairs. Make sure you go to bed with a well cleansed and moisturised face. And you are sure to wake up to healthy and plump skin.
